THE EMERGENT STRATEGY THAT TOOK ME FROM 0 TO $2.5K IN 30 DAYS...BY MAKING MY ART & SPEAKING MY TRUTH
Last March, I ran a free live immersion in Telegram called MAKE ART NOT CONTENTÂ
30 days later, I had $2.5k in the bank, a 1:1 client & a troupe of a dozen or so new paying students to co-create with.
Â
I did not âdumb downâ my work
I literally live-read Rilke poems, Renaissance architecture, & high theory
It was not planned in advance. (It was terrifyingâŚand exciting)
I did not practice (That is not something I am capable of doing)
I didnât know what I was going to sell (I ended up pivoting on the fly)
Â
It was political.
It was philosophical.
It was art-as-pedagogy-in-motion.
Â
Did everything go right? NO!!!!
Â
But: I generated new rich material & insights
I created an archive
I connected with new people
I saw myself in a new light
And I saw the people inside the space transform before my eyes.

THE REAL REASON YOU DON'T HAVE YOUR THRIVING, ART-FIRST, LONG-TERM BIZ...YET
Artists under Capitalism often think they are struggling to create & thrive because:
â People don't value art enough
â The system discourages creativity & meaning
â the world is burning & needs their attention more than their art does
These statements are true in a way, but here's the twisted secret:
THEY ARE ACTUALLY CAPITALISM SPEAKING THROUGH US.
The voice telling us those things is the same voice that also wants us to believe that we are:
lazy, undisciplined, not real artists, there's no point, etc.
The reason my immersion last year was so powerful was that it disproved in practice the faulty assumption behind all these statements:Â
IT DISPROVED THE LIE THAT MONEY & ART, POLITICS & BUSINESS, TEACHING & CREATING ARE SEPARATE.Â
This is the real reason Artists under Capitalism are struggling.
â Not because their art isn't good enough
â Not because their audience isn't big enough
â Not because they haven't been discovered by the gatekeepers, critics, or algorithm yetÂ
But because they feel that creating their art is separate from politics, from money, from building the world they were born to live in.

Three years ago, I left my humanities PhD just before finishing.
I left because inside academia I felt disconnected from the world & my purpose & my power.
I wanted to build a new kind of school for Artists under Capitalism.
But I felt like I was burning my life down.
Setting fire to the years & decades I had spent to get where I got.
All the forms I'd put so much effort into learning.
But the truth was, my work had simply outgrown the context that had first helped it grow.
Graduate school had helped me find my real work, but I didnât want to shrink it to fit inside a dying system...
I wanted to create art that could mutate any system it encountered.
If you keep burning your business downâŚ
Itâs not because youâre too intense.
Itâs because part of what you built wasnât designed to survive your evolution as an artist.
Luckily, this is where I can help you.
JOIN THE IMMERSION -- FOR FREEWHEN YOU'RE LIVING IN A WORLD ON FIRE â BUILD SOMETHING THAT CAN FEED ON THE FLAMES.
When I left academia I knew I didn't want to spend energy building something I was going to have to burn down again.
I *only* wanted to build what I *knew* would survive the fire of my inevitable creative evolution.
I wanted structures that could be dismantled & put back together again without flinching.
But when I entered the online business space, I found a maze of clunky & incompatible frameworks, tools, strategies & devices,
each made to fix one sliver of a business...
But no guidance & no frameworks for how to *create* a *living* one.
I was told to pick a niche, be consistent, follow through...
Or assured that I should just 'stay in the energy' â while the world was burning around me.
But artists donât need repetition.
We need space & autonomy combined with intuitive, adaptable frameworks we can iterate with *while we're in motion.*
So, scrappy artist that I am -
I began designing them.
What people are saying about Caroline & her work...
I didn't create these frameworks & principles all at once.
I designed them in iteration.
Through launches, collapses, refinements, and rebuilds.
Each cycle strengthening the container instead of destroying it.
Now Iâm sharing what Iâve refined over the past 3 years â and inviting you to build with me.
I combined:Â
â my decade of experience in college-level curricular design, immersive language teaching, & creative workshop facilitation
â my new on-the-ground obsessive study of the tactics & strategies of social media marketing & business
â and my concrete experience of being neurodivergent, highly sensitive, c-ptsd etc, and building a business on social media in late capitalism.
The result: I developed intuitive, adaptable, *meaningful* frameworks & principles that artists under capitalism can actually use to build their art-first, pedagogically sound business *in real time*.
THE THREE PIECES YOU NEED TO BUILD A BUSINESS YOU DON'T WANT TO BURN DOWN AS AN ARTIST UNDER CAPITALISM
Â
Inside PHOENIX BIZ, I'm sharing:
â The Emergent Offer Strategy I used to turn my concrete situation & emotions into an unfolding teaching experience that brought in $2.5k in cash within 30 days
â the Scrappy Artist Somatics that turn overwhelm & despair into data & refinement â and develop world-changing products out of your embodied knowing
â Transformational Pedagogy & Curriculum Design that brings your beloved objects & destined co-creators along for the ride with you, for the long haul
Â
These are the three pieces you need to build a business that holds you, that you *don't want* to burn down, as an Artist under Capitalism.

MY CLIENTS & CO-CREATORS HAVE USED THESE PRINCIPLES & FRAMEWORKS TO JUMPSTART THEIR ART-BASED BUSINESSES.
Here's a taste of what they've accomplished:
â they've gone from not knowing what to offer to running their first bustling workshop on eco-poetics just a few weeks later
â they've turned their unschooled yet deeply intuitive business sense into a $5k bonus from their *first* paying client, just by getting their hands dirty
â they've been featured in a local newspaper for their emergent, ephemeral guerrilla art project
â they've taught sold out in person astrology workshops that build live community on the ground
