THE COUNCIL - PEDAGOGY FELLOW

Bring your unique body of work into the world

gently, rapidly, & in real time

by committing to co-create the Lyceum with its steward Caroline Durlacher & a rag-tag band of co-conspirators in world-building

THIS IS A 50% SCHOLARSHIP TO THE COUNCIL

Read about the requirements below

WHAT IS THE PEDAGOGY FELLOWSHIP?

HOW DOES IT WORK & WHAT WILL IT REQUIRE OF ME?

The Pedagogy Fellowship is a sponsored track within the Council that comes with 50% off the regular Council tuition.

As a Pedagogy Fellow, you have access to everything included in The Council (my entire body of work, past, present & future - within your tuition period -, as well as monthly week-long Telegram immersions with a workbook & the monthly live call...etc.).

But the REAL Pedagogy Fellow experience is this: you will spend the year co-creating the Lyceum with me.

Together, the Pedagogy Fellows & I, your steward, will co-host 4 Emergent Summits together with me & under my guidance over the course of a year.

We will run these summits in August, November, February, and May.

(You will be required to participate in 3 out of 4 of these Emergent Summits. You have flexibility in which 3 of the 4 you participate in, and can choose your teaching dates within each summit window, within a set range.)

We will practice selling these summits together (led & supported & guided by me, with the Council members) & at them you will practice the Pedagogy of the Present.

TOWARD COLLECTIVE EMERGENT INSTITUTION-BUILDING

BEYOND INSTITUTIONAL VALIDATION & PRESTIGE POLITICS

The entire point of the Pedagogy Fellowship is that we co-create the Lyceum by and through bringing our own work rapidly & gently into form.

Why?

→ So that we (the members of the Council) can build the Lyceum together.

→ So that we can develop our own teaching & body of work while & through inviting others into our world.

When I applied to graduate school, I was actually ashamed for needing the institution to “help” me figure out my real work & develop myself.

I would have preferred to be able to do it myself!

(LOL! Meanwhile as if all the books I read to discover my own philosophy and voice…were not helping me. No. I was doing it entirely on my own 😂)

The truth is, our unique powers & capacities & bodies of work can often emerge only when we are in rooms together, and something is being asked of us.

This is what grad school did for me, and it is what the Pedagogy Fellowship is designed to do for you.

Provide you with both the environment & support, and just enough healthy pressure & commitment, to get your work off the ground.

TOWARDS A CREATIVE LEADERSHIP

BASED ON A RELATIONSHIP OF TRUST & LEAVING AMPLE SPACE FOR EMERGENCE

My spaces are not ones with hard edges or linear timelines.

You join because you trust that the relationship with me & with the Lyceum as an emergent institution is in service to your emergence.

You join because you trust that over time the transformation you experience will worth infinitely more than the price,

and because you also want to devote your time, focus, attention & effort to what I & the Lyceum are in service to.

I do not promise that this space is simple, safe, or without guilt, confusion, anxiety, frustration, overwhelm, shame.

In fact, I promise you WILL experience those feelings inside the Lyceum.

I definitely do not promise to not make mistakes while running it.

This is the price & bitter pleasure of LIFE.

So the question is: DO YOU WANT TO CO-CREATE THE LYCEUM WITH ME?

QUESTIONS TO ASK YOURSELF

BEFORE ENROLLING IN THE PEDAGOGY FELLOWSHIP

Would you bring through your real work more quickly & more gently in this environment?

Would co-creating this space with me, in and through and BY bringing your real work into the world, further your development?

Would it encourage you to be surrounded by others who are bringing their real work into the world, too?

And collaborating with them on the common project of the Lyceum, as a sort of excuse to come together & join forces?

And also, would you like to see the Lyceum…in concrete existence?

As a template, that you contribute to building (again and again and again)?

Do I believe in what the Lyceum stands for, & am I prepared to lead myself through whatever experiences come up within its walls?

Does joining the Lyceum lead me closer to the person I desire to become?

ABOUT YOUR STEWARD & CO-CREATOR

CAROLINE CLAIRE DURLACHER

My name is Caroline Claire Durlacher & I am the founder & steward of the Lyceum.

I am a now feral scholar who has studied at Yale (BA), the University of Vienna, & UC Berkeley (MA) -- where I left after 6 years of doctoral study. I left just before finishing my PhD, which would have qualified me to pursue a career as a university professor.

Since 2022, I have been experimenting in public with the project of birthing an entire institution, from scratch -- but from a very different template than the ones we encounter in the world.

In the process, I have developed prototypes for Transformational Sales, Marketing, & Offer Creation, Embodied Pedagogy, & Emergent Institution-Building which I teach to my clients & co-creators inside the Lyceum.
